Foreign language didactics deals with processes and methods of learning and teaching English and Romance languages as well as English and Romance-language cultures and literatures. During their didactic studies, student teachers learn the theoretical and practical basics of lesson design and acquire knowledge and skills that prepare them for their professional career. The development of the ability to plan, act and reflect is therefore the focus of the seminars and internships.

In the courses for BA students on teaching skills, academic working techniques are practiced and oral and written presentation skills are developed.
