Welcome on the

homepage of the Chair of Structural Analysis and Structural Dynamics.
The professorship is one of four civil engineering professorships to be established at the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences as part of the implementation of the concept for interdisciplinary engineering education in the fields of construction, landscape and environment (BLU concept).
Structural analysis and structural dynamics are among the most important disciplines of a civil engineer. Structural analysis and structural dynamics stand for the teaching of safety and reliability of load-bearing structures in civil engineering. The research activities of the professorship are dedicated to the development of suitable structural concepts, numerical methods, but also to the areas of coastal protection.
In the newly introduced Bachelor's degree course in Civil Engineering, the mechanical, static and dynamic foundations for the calculation of statically determinate and indeterminate beam structures are to be taught. In the Master's course, selected aspects of computer-oriented statics or the calculation of load-bearing structures can be studied in greater depth.
