All modules are offered for both environmental and civil engineers.

Urban design I

Students should become familiar with the basics, concepts, planning elements and design methods of urban planning and understand the requirements of the relevant specialist planning and construction projects for traffic, water supply and disposal, wastewater and energy management and open space planning. This knowledge is to be applied in an urban planning design.

The focus is on:

    - Principles and procedures of urban planning
    - Urban planning and regional planning
    - Sustainable transformation of existing neighborhoods

    Transportation I

    The aim of the module is to familiarize students with the essential procedures and instruments for planning, dimensioning and evaluating transport facilities and mobility solutions. This includes an overview of the transport system (road, rail, air, water), design and layout of transport infrastructure facilities and transport network design, traffic concepts and traffic management systems for all modes of transport, design and dimensioning of transport facilities, organization of traffic flows and the requirements for sustainable mobility and a future-proof transport network.
