What can I find in the Database Information System?

All of the library's electronic resources are listed both in Discovery and the Database Information System (DBIS). DBIS is a cooperative service making available scientific databases that many libraries use. You need to be logged into the university network to access licensed resources.

DBIS includes:

  • article databases
  • full-text databases
  • subject databases
  • lists of holdings
  • lists of dissertations
  • encyclopedias
  • general information

The databases are arranged by subject. Expanded search allows keyword and geographical searches.

In several databases and search portals, an availability check is integrated using a link resolver. For hits in a search, various options for accessing the text are indicated, ideally directly to the electronic full text.

Please contact a member of staff if you have any questions.
