Admission requirements

Admission to the Master's degree programme in Environmental Engineering Sciences is subject to the following admission requirements in accordance with § 2 of the programme-specific examination and study regulations (SPSO):

  • Prospective students must have a Bachelor's degree in an engineering-oriented environmental studies programme or engineering science degree with at least 180 credit points or another equivalent degree.
  • Prospective students whose native language is not German must provide evidence of German language skills (level B2).
  • Prospective students must prove knowledge of English (level B2).

Please note:
In the case of degrees that are not from an engineering-oriented field, the examination board may stipulate that up to twelve credit points from the Bachelor's degree programme in Environmental Engineering must be completed during the first year of study in order to acquire basic knowledge of environmental engineering.
