Studies and academic training

since January 2019: Preparation of a doctoral thesis on the topic: “Phylogeography and systematics of the Anaspidacea (Malacostraca, Crustacea) - An example of a Gondwana distribution”, funded by a doctoral scholarship from the University of Rostock.

September 2018: Master of Science at the University of Rostock. Title of the master thesis: “Tasmanian mountain shrimps (Anaspidacea, Malacostraca, Crustacea) - phylogeography, endemism and multiple immigrations into caves”, supervised by Prof. Dr. Stefan Richter and Dr. Ralf Bastrop.

2016 - 2018: Master's studies in Integrative Zoology at the University of Rostock.

August 2016: Bachelor of Science at the University of Rostock. Bachelor's thesis on food analyses of cormorants (Phalacrocorax carbo sinensis) in the Heuwiese colony

2012 - 2016: Bachelor's studies in Biosciences at the University of Rostock.

Professional activities

2016 - 2018: Various activities as a student and research assistant (General and Special Zoology, University of Rostock), supervision of the zoological practical course, tutorial for zoology, supervision of the module “ Principles of evolutionary morphology”, evaluation of pellet samples from comorants, supervision of the module “Biology of fish”, molecular genetic studies on Anaspidesidae, leading excursions in the module “Native flora and fauna”, molecular genetic studies of polychaetes of Atlantic seamounts.

2017: Research assistant at the German Oceanographic Museum in Stralsund for the analysis of seal and harbor porpoise stomachs.

2016 - 2018: Underwater/diver work as part of the TRANSCOAST research project.

2016: Student assistant (Botany, University of Rostock) for the preparation and conduction of a research trip to Burkina Faso.
