Studies and academic training

since April 2024: Preparation of a doctoral thesis on the topic: “Ice ages and glaciation of Tasmania as a key factor for speciation and diversification of Tasmanian freshwater isopods (Phreatoicidea).”

12/2021: Master of Science at the Università del Salento. Title of the master thesis: “The sea slug Doriopsilla areolata in the Mediterranean Sea: a hypervariable species, or a case of cryptic diversity?” Supervised by Dr. Giulia Furfaro and Prof. Dr. Stefano Piraino.

2019 - 2021: Master studies at the Università del Salento, Coastal and Marine Biology and Ecology.

04/2019: Bachelor of Science at the University of Regensburg. Title of the bachelor thesis: “Molecular comparison of the closely related genera of European swimming crabs Liocarcinus and Polybius and its implication for the taxonomy.” / “Population structure and geographic distribution of different genetic subgroups within the Mediterranean green crab Carcinus aestuarii.” Supervised by Prof. Dr. Christoph Schubart.
